Recovering a deleted file from the recycle bin
Deleting a file in Prospo moves it to the Recycle Bin rather than removing it permanently. Files, folders, meeting records, notes, transcripts, and fact-finds are all recoverable from the Recycle Bin within 90 days of deletion.
Opening the Recycle Bin
The Recycle Bin is accessible to Org Admins from the Admin panel:
- Go to Admin in the sidebar
- Select the Recycle Bin tab
The Recycle Bin has two tabs:
- Records — deleted files, notes, transcripts, fact-finds, meetings, and other records
- Deleted Folders — folders that have been removed
Restoring a deleted item
- Open the Recycle Bin
- Browse or search for the item you want to restore — you can filter by entity type, name, client name, who deleted it, and date range
- Select the item using the checkbox
- Click Restore selected
- Confirm
The item is returned to its original location in Prospo.
Permanent deletion
To remove an item from the Recycle Bin entirely:
- Select the item in the Recycle Bin
- Click Permanently delete
- Confirm
Permanently deleted items cannot be recovered.
