Recovering a deleted file from the recycle bin

2 min read

Deleting a file in Prospo moves it to the Recycle Bin rather than removing it permanently. Files, folders, meeting records, notes, transcripts, and fact-finds are all recoverable from the Recycle Bin within 90 days of deletion.

Opening the Recycle Bin

The Recycle Bin is accessible to Org Admins from the Admin panel:

  1. Go to Admin in the sidebar
  2. Select the Recycle Bin tab

The Recycle Bin has two tabs:

  • Records — deleted files, notes, transcripts, fact-finds, meetings, and other records
  • Deleted Folders — folders that have been removed

Restoring a deleted item

  1. Open the Recycle Bin
  2. Browse or search for the item you want to restore — you can filter by entity type, name, client name, who deleted it, and date range
  3. Select the item using the checkbox
  4. Click Restore selected
  5. Confirm

The item is returned to its original location in Prospo.

Permanent deletion

To remove an item from the Recycle Bin entirely:

  1. Select the item in the Recycle Bin
  2. Click Permanently delete
  3. Confirm

Permanently deleted items cannot be recovered.
