Using the global search
Using the global search
Search for clients and contacts by name or email from the dashboard. The list filters in real time as you type, so you can jump straight to the record you need.
Searching for clients or contacts
1. Go to the dashboard
The search bar is located in the left panel on your home screen.
2. Select the right view
Use the Clients / Contacts toggle above the search bar to choose what you're searching within.
3. Start typing
Begin typing a name or email address. The list filters automatically as you type — there's no need to press Enter.
Search tips
Search by name or email
The search matches against both the name and email address of each record. For example, typing smith will return any client or contact whose name or email contains that word.
Use multiple terms
You can search using more than one word. Separate each term with a space — Prospo will only show results that match all terms. For example, typing jane sydney will show records containing both "jane" and "sydney".
Terms appear as chips
Each word you type appears as a tag (chip) above the list. To remove a single term, click the × on its chip. To clear the entire search, click the clear button on the right side of the search bar, or press Backspace to delete chips one at a time.
Sorting results
To change the order of the filtered list, click the Sort button next to the search bar and choose from:
- Name A–Z
- Name Z–A
- Newest (most recently added)
- Oldest (oldest records first)
Sorting applies to the currently filtered results.
What you can search for
The search bar on the dashboard covers clients and contacts only. To find meetings, use the status and type filters in the Meetings panel on the right side of the dashboard.
