Using Email Magic Edit to refine a draft

Magic Edit is an AI-powered inline editing tool built into Prospo's email composer. Highlight any text in your draft and type an instruction — Magic Edit rewrites just that selection, leaving the rest of the email unchanged.

How to use Magic Edit

1. Open the email composer (compose, reply, or forward)
2. Write your draft — or use Generate with AI to create a starting point
3. Select the text you want to refine by clicking and dragging
4. A floating toolbar appears above your selection with a text field: "How should I edit this?"
5. Type your instruction — for example:
6. • "Make this more formal"
   • "Shorten this paragraph"
   • "Make it friendlier"
   • "Fix the grammar"
   • "Expand on this point"
7. Press Enter or click Update
8. The selected text is replaced with the edited version

Tips

• Magic Edit only changes the text you've highlighted — the rest of your email is untouched
• You can use it as many times as needed on different parts of the same email
• Press Escape to dismiss the toolbar without making changes
• Magic Edit cannot be applied to your email signature
