Completing the Prospo Fact-Find

3 min read

The Prospo Fact-Find is a comprehensive financial questionnaire completed by the adviser in the back office. It captures everything needed to build a full picture of a client's financial position across seven sections. Each save creates a new version — previous versions are preserved and can be restored at any time.

Opening the Fact-Find

Navigate to a client's record and open the Fact-Find page. If no Fact-Find exists yet for that client, Prospo creates a first version automatically on load. If one already exists, the current active version opens ready to edit.

The Fact-Find is organised into seven sections, each accessible via a tab at the top of the form:

  1. Personal Details
  2. Contact Details
  3. Risk Profile
  4. Balance Sheet
  5. Goals
  6. Cashflow
  7. Insurance

Each section is divided into collapsible accordion panels. Click Edit on a panel to make its fields editable. Changes are held locally until you save.

Sections at a glance

Personal Details
Core identity and compliance fields for each person in the client group — name, date of birth, nationality, residency, tax file number, Medicare number, and identity documents (passport, driver's licence).

Contact Details
Residential and postal addresses, all phone numbers, email addresses, preferred contact method and time, and an emergency contact.

Risk Profile
Risk tolerance, capacity, and required risk score. Investment timeframe, liquidity needs, and investment experience. Behavioural factors including loss aversion and market timing tendencies.

Balance Sheet
A full picture of assets and liabilities. Assets are broken down into liquid assets, investments, primary property, investment property, vehicles, superannuation, and business assets. Liabilities cover the home loan and any other debts (credit cards, personal loans, etc.).

Goals
One or more financial goals, each with a label, category, target amount, priority, and timeline (start and end year).

Cashflow
Income broken down by source (salary, business income, rental income, superannuation pension, Centrelink, dividends, and others). Expenses broken down by category (living expenses, debt payments, insurance, health, entertainment, and others). Tax deductions tracked separately. Net cash flow and debt service ratio are calculated automatically.

Insurance
All active and lapsed insurance policies — policy number, insurer, category, insured persons, sum insured or monthly benefit, annual premium, and review dates.

Saving

Click Save & Continue to save the current state. Prospo:

  1. Archives the previous version
  2. Creates a new active version with your changes
  3. Regenerates financial projections based on the updated data
  4. Generates a PDF and stores it in the client's file record

The Fact-Find can be partially completed and returned to at any time — only the active version is shown by default.

Version history

Click History to open the version history drawer. All previous versions are listed with version numbers and timestamps. Click any version to preview it, or restore it to make it the active version.

Exporting

Click Download at the top of the form to export the current Fact-Find as a PDF or DOCX file.
