Deleting a client

2 min read

Deleting a client removes them and their associated data from your active records. Deletions are soft — the client and their data move to the Recycle Bin and are permanently removed after 90 days, giving you a window to recover anything deleted by mistake.

Steps

  1. Go to the Clients page
  2. Find the client you want to delete
  3. Click the Delete (bin) icon on their row
  4. A confirmation dialog will appear: "Are you sure you want to delete this client?"
  5. Click Delete to confirm, or Cancel to go back

The client is removed from your active Clients list immediately.

Recovering a deleted client

Deleted clients and their associated data can be recovered from the Recycle Bin within 90 days. After 90 days, the data is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

To access the Recycle Bin, go to Admin → Recycle Bin (Org Admins only).

Unlinking a contact vs. deleting a client

If you only want to remove a contact from a client — without deleting the client — use the Unlink option in the Linked Contacts panel on the client profile. This removes the relationship between the client and the contact but does not delete either record.

Deleting a client does not delete their linked contacts. Those contacts remain in Prospo and can be linked to other clients.
