Connecting with Zoom

2 min read

Create Zoom meetings directly from the Prospo meeting scheduler once your Zoom account is connected. Setup takes less than a minute — you'll sign in to Zoom and authorize Prospo, no developer setup required.

Each user connects their own Zoom account independently — no Org Admin setup is required.

Connect Zoom in Prospo

1. Go to Settings → Integrations

2. Find Zoom under Meeting Tools and click Connect

3. A Zoom sign-in window opens. Sign in with the Zoom account you want to use

4. Review the permissions Prospo requests and click Allow

You'll be returned to Prospo automatically. If the connection succeeds, your Zoom account email appears on the Zoom card confirming it's linked.

Prospo requests permission to create, read, update, and delete meetings, read your Zoom profile, and access your cloud recordings. These permissions are granted in one step during sign-in — you don't need to configure anything in Zoom.

Troubleshooting

The Zoom sign-in window doesn't open — Check that your browser isn't blocking pop-ups for Prospo, then click Connect again.

Connected the wrong account — Disconnect Zoom in Prospo (see below), then reconnect, making sure you sign in with the correct Zoom account.

Connection fails after authorizing — Try again, and make sure you complete the authorization in the same browser session. If the problem persists, contact support.

Disconnecting Zoom

You can disconnect your Zoom account at any time. Disconnecting revokes Prospo's access to your Zoom account and prevents new Zoom meetings from being created, but does not affect any existing meeting records or recordings.

1. Go to Settings → Integrations

2. Find Zoom under Meeting Tools

3. Click Disconnect and confirm

After disconnecting:

  • The Zoom option in the meeting scheduler is disabled
  • Existing Zoom meeting records remain in Prospo — all meeting details, join links, and notes are preserved
  • Recordings already imported into Prospo remain accessible
  • Recordings still in Zoom Cloud are not deleted — they remain in your Zoom account

To reconnect, click Connect on the Zoom card and sign in again. Previously imported recordings are not affected when you reconnect.
